His debut novel, You are Eating an Orange. You are Naked. (2020), is named one of the best debut books of 2020  by the Globe and Mail and is longlisted for CBC’s Canada Reads 2021. His writing has appeared in PRISM International, Puritan Magazine, the Humber Literary Review, among others. Sheung-King is currently an artist in residence at the ADA-DADA Residency where he is working on his second book, a collection of stories concerning transnational identity, post-colonial spaces, disembodied states of consciousness, and the datafication of human behaviour.As an educator, Sheung-King has held lecturer positions, teaching creative writing and communications at Sheridan College, and the Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. About

Sheung-King, Aaron Tang is an author and educator. His debut novel, You are Eating an Orange. You are Naked (Book*hug Press, 2020), is a finalist for the 2021 Governor General's Award, a finalist for the 2021 Amazon Canada First Novel Award, longlisted for CBC’s Canada Reads 2021, named one of the best book debuts of 2020 by the Globe and Mail, and is optioned to be developed into a feature-length film by Fluent Films (Montreal). Sheung-King is also named one of 20 Canadian writers to watch in 2022 by the CBC. Born in Vancouver, Sheung-King grew up in Hong Kong. His work examines “the interior lives of the transnational Asian diaspora” (Thea Lim, The Nation). He held lecturer positions, teaching creative writing and media studies at the University of Guelph, Sheridan College, and The University of Guelph-Humber. He currently teaches humanities and creative writing at Avenues: The World School, Shenzhen. His next novel, BATSHIT SEVEN, will be published by Penguin Random House Canada in 2024. Sheung-King holds a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from Queen’s University and a Magistrates of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Guelph.
