I also go by Aaron Tang. I was born in the 90s to Cantonese parents in Vancouver. At the age of 5, I moved to Hong Kong before returning to Canada to attend boarding school at 15. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Film Studies from Queen’s University and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Guelph.
My essays and stories can be found, under the name Sheung-King, in Ricepaper Magazine, Currents: A Ricepaper Anthology, The Liminal by PRISM International, the Humber Literary Review, Food For My People - an anthology by Exile Publishing, and the Shanghai Literary Review . My play Baguette is a finalist in the 2017 New Market National Play festival.
